Behind the Scenes of Learning Disabilities Association of Colorado

No two people learn the same way; we all have different learning styles. With that should come personalized ways of teaching.

Learning Disabilities Association of Colorado wanted to make a video that advocates for those who learn differently.

With the help of Phillipe Ernewein from Denver Academy they set out to create a video that would help teachers learn these best practices; they would rewrite how we teach and how we can all learn.

A family friend of mine was on the board of the Learning Disabilities Association of Colorado and championed the video. She knew I was in working at HDNet in the production department.

I was new to HDNet, but as luck would have it the family friend knew my boss and her trust and support got the green light to produce the project. Not only did he give the okay for the project, but donated time, money and resources to make this documentary style video.

It was one of the most rewarding projects I have worked on. Not only were we able to change the paradigm for teachers, but also I was also able to learn a great deal about documentary style of production.
