09 Jan Behind the Stream: Think Differently About Strategy
Beth: This is Mainstream Video Production Behind The Stream. We’re talking about our case studies from our favorite and best clients, which are almost all of our clients are our favorite and best. Let’s just get that outta the way.
Beth: One of our clients that we’ve been working with, that we have just had a ball with, because their communication team is so strong and they have so many great ideas, which is what we love, they’re coming to the table with different ways of telling stories, different ways of thinking about messaging, and then we get to just focus on how can we visually bring that to life with video. So this is for IECRM;
Steph: Rocky Mountain.
Beth: Rocky Mountain– and they were wanting to get a video into the hands of legislators that helps them to understand that this is the organization you need to talk to when you are making decisions about things that affect the electrical industry. So they wanted to showcase that basically electricity is in every single thing we do in this city and world.
[Excerpt from Video]
Your morning routine. The drive, The community, Your livelihood. None of that is possible without electricity.
Beth: And getting that message to people to really understand the inner workings of it and the people that are creating this; Sending that message to the people that are deciding on the laws was what they wanted help creating.
Steph: They really just wanted a short, succinct, eye-catching, fast moving video to send to legislators to say, “Hey, when you’re making, when you’re thinking about your policies, think about asking us what we think about this idea. Is this feasible? Is this something that the industry can handle? Is this something we can– how can we help support your idea? You know, how can we help move Colorado forward?” And I think all of that, uh, went into why they wanted to make this video.
Beth: So think outside the box. Anything that has a message that you are having to repeat over and over again, video are great. Use of that. Think outside the box when thinking about your video strategy.
