05 Dec Behind the Stream: The Secret to Building Trust
If there’s one video I always recommend making, it’s a testimonial video.
Why? Because nothing builds trust faster than hearing your happy clients rave about working with you. And when you capture that on video, it’s like pouring gasoline on your marketing fire!
We use testimonial videos all the time in our sales process because they work. They help potential clients see real results and build instant credibility.
Want to see it in action? Check out this week’s Behind the Stream, where one of our clients created a video featuring six of their happy customers in a single video that we shot on zoom.
Beth: Testimonial videos are just worth their weight in gold.
Beth: You are behind the stream with Stephenie and I, we are talking about the purpose of one of our clients’ videos. So one of the things that we always do at mainstream, I don’t even want to talk to you if you don’t have this lined up one, where is the video gonna go? Is it gonna go on a webpage? Is it gonna be used in an event? Is it gonna go in an email campaign? You first have to know where the video’s gonna go, and then what you want your audience to take away or feel, or what is the intention of the video. If you could answer those two questions, great. Mainstream, would love to help you produce that video.
Beth: So we’re talking about one of our favorite clients. All of our clients are our favorite and best. Gallantry Coaching and Consulting hired us because she actually had an event that she wanted to have a video component to.
I chose Stephanie because of her background in the industry.
Steph: So the purpose really was to let this audience know at this event mm-hmm, who she was and what she did for the people that she coached. And so we had six people on camera. She did not talk on camera in the video because we really wanted– the purpose was to let people know through the eyes of the people she had helped.
Beth: Social Proof, baby!
Steph: Social proof! Right, exactly. And nice introduction. When she’s about to be talking for 15, 20 minutes to this crowd, to have other voices kind of talk about why you should listen to her, right? Why you should care about what she has to say. Here’s what she’s done for us. You know, maybe listen to her and you might take away a nugget or two.
Beth: If somebody can tell someone else that they should be afraid or that they had success with your brand or enjoyed the working relationship. It just makes the buying decision so much easier. That’s where video has just so much power. If you are starting with a single video and you wanna see an ROI, start with a testimonial video!
