20 Feb Behind the Stream: How to Turn Video Views into Sales
People often buy based on emotion, but they need logic to justify that purchase. So, how do you get your customers to go from “I’m interested” to “Take my money”?
By the time they reach the decision stage of the buyer’s journey, you’ve already done the heavy lifting—capturing their attention and building trust. Now you just need to show them the proof they need to make their final call.
But how can you use video to deliver that proof in a way that doesn’t just tell them, but shows them why your solution is the right fit?
Beth: One time I was in this meeting and somebody said, people don’t buy with logic, but they need it to justify it, and what that meant was typically when you’re buying something, you are bought in for something emotional.
Beth: However, you need logic to make sure that you are making the right decision, and that is what the last stage of the buyer’s journey is about for us and how we think about it. In the awareness stage, you’re appealing to their emotions and their pain points. In the consideration stage you are building a relationship with and showing ’em they should trust you.
Beth: In the decision stage., you’re giving them all of the logical information they need to know to make a buying decision. and the way to really knock it outta the park with this messaging is to prove it. Prove that you can do what you’re saying you’re gonna do, and that involves case studies, testimonials, anything that shows and proves your credibility, and basically everything you’ve said up until this point
Beth: Recently, we created a marketing funnel for software companies. So going through all of the stages, talking about their pain points, specifically consideration stage messages where, how our solution solves their pain points, and then our decision videos were really about examples of companies that have worked with us, that have software products and how we’ve helped them, and testimonials from clients who have worked with us and said “They’re great!”
